Warranty Information

All the information below is valid for purchases made on or after 01/06/2024. For purchases made before this date, the warranty details will be provided on your sales receipt or can be obtained by getting in touch with our Customer Service Department.

Please note: Our free extended warranties are only available for brand new products purchased directly from our website. Any purchase made through any other selling platforms (such as eBay and Amazon) will be subject to the Standard Warranty Period only.

Our warranty table indicates the standard warranty period supplied by each manufacturer along with which products are covered by our free 6 Year extended warranty. In the event of a claim, Peter Tyson provides and administers the extended warranty. This extended warranty is on the same basis and terms as the manufacturer’s original warranty, where possible using the same official service providers, giving you total peace of mind for the extended warranty period. In the event of a claim, please contact Peter Tyson in the first instance. Claims for work done by others won't be accepted unless previously agreed.

Please note: We may run promotions and offer longer warranties than advertised below. These will be detailed on the individual product pages and will also be visible on your order invoice.

Any extended warranties offered by Peter Tyson are free. We do not include any form of insurance terms such as accidental damage or loan equipment cover.

Warranties can only be fulfilled to goods purchased and delivered within the UK. In order for us to conduct a Warranty claim for goods taken outside of the UK, the goods will have to be returned at your own expense. Alternatively, you can make the goods available for collection at a UK address. This also applies to goods delivered to shipping companies. Subsequent to a successful warranty claim, goods can only be re-delivered to a UK address.

Free warranties provided for TVs, are provided by the Manufacturer/Supplier, and are bound by their own individual terms and conditions. If you need further clarification, please contact us.

All Peter Tyson Extended Warranties are only valid for the original purchaser and are not transferable.

Launched at a time when amplifiers and loudspeakers were seen as being most critical to the performance of any system, the Sondek LP12 showed that extracting more information from the record itself was the most critical challenge. Quite simply, information lost at the source is lost forever.

Since its introduction over 30 years ago the Sondek LP12 has been the turntable by which all others are judged and each component has been continuously improved to extract even more information from a vinyl record. At the heart of the Sondek LP12 is Linn’s patented, low-noise, single-point bearing. This advanced yet simple bearing design ensures the smooth motion of the turntable and eliminates noise to ensure that all you hear is the music.

The high mass, perfectly balanced, belt-driven platter maintains speed stability, while the solid wood plinth, suspended sub-chassis and stable arm platform combine to provide freedom from vibration and acoustic feedback. The combination of these precision-engineered components creates a turntable with an unequalled ability to provide pitch accurate, faithful reproduction of your cherished vinyl collection. A partnering range of Linn tonearms and cartridges are available to ensure you get the maximum performance from your Sondek LP12.

The Sondek LP12 is available in a choice of high-quality real wood finishes. Standard finishes are Black Ash, Natural Oak, Cherry, Rosenut or Walnut and also offer a custom service for those who want a truly bespoke finish.
