WiiM is a relative new kid on the block in home audio and is taking it by storm. offering a small but comprehensive range of quality, extremely affordable streaming solutions.

WiiM is part of LinkPlay Technology Inc., a collaborative team from the likes of Google and Harmon, developing bespoke audio streaming software and hardware for OEM partners, with bases in the US, China and South Korea.

The Line Up

WiiM’s debut product, Mini – a tiny, wireless streamer à la early Amazon Echo Dot or Google Mini - launched in late 2021, followed by Pro and Pro Plus streamers, WiiM Amp and Wake-Up Light which will hit shops soon.

Pro and Pro Plus are larger and more powerful high-resolution streamers that tick all the feature boxes - Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, Napster, TuneIn, Soundcloud, AirPlay 2, Chromecast, DLNA, Alexa Cast, Roon Ready, 2-way Bluetooth, voice control and more. Both players stream up to 192 kHz/24-bit with digital and analogue inputs and outputs.

We have been waxing lyrical about Linn’s Organik DAC architecture since it debuted in the sublime next-generation Klimax DSM in 2021.

Organik elevates audio performance to breathtaking levels. And now, Linn Akubarik owners can reach those heights too, with a retrofittable Organik DAC upgrade.

This is a Linn factory upgrade: your Akubarik speaker modules are returned to Linn HQ. We will securely remove, transport and re-install them once Linn has worked its ‘majik’, complete with a new, 5-year Linn warranty on the modules and drive units.

Organik DAC upgrade is £7,000 and is for Exakt Integrated Akubariks only. 

If you have Aktiv, non-Exakt Akubariks, there is a limited opportunity to upgrade directly to Organik Exakt, after which Aktiv to Exakt upgrade will no longer be available.
